你好！I started studying Mandarin Chinese in 2018 and wanted some worksheets I could use to practice writing the most common Chinese characters. Thus, WriteMandarin.com was born. Using Laravel as the backend, I was able to auto-generate over 20 different word sets which total 3,600+ printable PDF worksheets. And they really work! I'm finally able to read and write basic Chinese characters. :)
ESLFlashcards provides free, printable, great-looking flashcards for ESL teachers to use in their classrooms. Since we launched in 2005 we've received over 5 million downloads of our flashcards from educators, parents and caregivers worldwide!
Korea On The Rocks
KOTR was one of the first websites I created while living and working as an English teacher in South Korea. KOTR is the first and only website dedicated to rock climbing in South Korea for expats. KOTR has over 340 climbing areas listed and 3,000+ photos and maps. If you like to climb, Korea is an amazing destination!
An early "portal-style" site for English teachers around the world, eslHQ was created to be a one-stop location for ESL teachers where they could participate in forums, make worksheets, download teaching materials or find a teaching job. While not as popular as it used to be, eslHQ has over 100K users and more than 30K forum posts.
ESL Teacher Talk
In 2005 I heard my first podcast and I was hooked. I loved podcasts so much I decided to start my own. I teamed up with Mark Cox (owner of mes-english.com) and we launched one of the first podcasts dedicated to teaching ESL. The podcast ran until about 2010 but our old episodes are still regularly downloaded.
GearGrabber is my own Datafeedr website. It originally started as a demo site for showing off what Datafeedr could do but overtime developed into its own, making regular affiliate sales by offering outdoor gear on sale. I often use GearGrabber to find the best prices for new gear I want to buy.
